TEACHING LABORATORY IN VISUAL IMPAIRMENT
To build capacities in the area of visual impairment and to provide least restrictive learning environments for the visually impaired students at the University of Buea, the UNESCO Chair in special needs education/inclusive education has an equipped teaching laboratory in visual impairments. Services provided for visually impaired Students here include: embossing reading materials in to Braille, transcription (from Braille to print) of assignment as well as examination scripts for teachers to correct, train student on the use screen reader software, capacity building in Braille as well as teacher support services.
